One last thing …

Posted on September 30, 2007 | Filed Under In My Opinion...

I forgot to mention today …

I hate WordPress - the software I am using for this blog. I mean I really, really hate it. Visitors don’t see it, of course, but the “Writing” and “editing” post editor sucks big time. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to completely re-write posts because when editing and then saving, the formatting of the post went totally fubar. Just tonight, I have spent the better part of 1 hour trying to get the preceding post to format and display properly.

A new version of the software was released 6 days ago. I considered upgrading for about as long as it took to read the steps needed to do the upgrade. Simply beyond my understanding. Database “dumps”, MySQL database backup and creation, revamping additional widget installs, and on and on. Yet - NOTHING done with the Editor function. Nothing!

So I am actively looking for a new software to run my blog on. Whether I can find one I can manage - or learn - is an unknown item at this point. Maybe I can. If I do, WordPress gets dumped. Probably all previous posts to that time along with it. Can’t be helped.

I’ll keep you posted before I do anything.

I’m tired of writing today. Reading some of the shit out there makes my brain hurt. Seriously. But hey - why should I suffer alone! Here’s a few things to ponder, once you’re done reading my other contributions:

From The comes this piece about Fred Thompson

“Conventional wisdom is hardening around the proposition that Fred Dalton Thompson is too lazy, ill-prepared, tired, old, lackluster, inexperienced, inconsistent and bald to make a successful run for President.”

PARIS — New hints that France may rejoin NATO’s military wing after a 41-year absence underscore a stunning foreign-policy shift under new President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Newt Gingrich. Used to love the guy. Thought he could possibly save our country. Then I read Senator Tom Coburn’s book “Breach of Faith” about Newt and his cronies turning the “Contract For America” on it’s head. He wanted to run for POTUS - before he decided not to. No loss. You ought to read it to and see what eventually resulted in the Socialist Party - excuse me, Democratic Party - taking over the country in the last elections.

Scumbag EX Marine ordered to testify in Libel suit

Posted on September 30, 2007 | Filed Under In My Opinion...

The AP is reporting a federal judge has ordered scumbag John Murtha to testify personally in a libel case brought by one of the brave Marines (real Marine - not POS like Murtha) the scumbag called a “murderer” on national TV in connection with a widely reported - and erroneous - action in Haditha, Iraq.  This blowhard, thief (think Abscam “un-indicted co-conspirator”), piece of shit EX Marine needs to be taken down hard. Of course he and his lawyers are trying to get the suit against him dismissed on the grounds of the Congressional “Debate” clause, in which anything a member of Congress says in the course of their duties is protected from libel or defamation charges. Total bullshit - he made these charges on national TV on a Sunday edition of “Meet The Press” - hardly within the parameters of his duties. Pay up, scumbag! Semper Fi, Marine!

Federal judge orders Murtha to testify

A federal judge has ordered Rep. Jack Murtha (D-Pa.) to testify in a defamation case related to the deaths of Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha in 2005, according to the Associated Press.

Murtha, a former Marine. accused Marines of “cold-blooded murder and war crimes” during the Haditha incident. Frank Wuterich, a Marine sergeant involved in the incident, has sued Murtha for libel and invasion of privacy over his comments.

According to AP, U.S. District Judge Rosemary M. Collyer wants Murtha to explain why he made this statement and any documents he has related to the incident.

From the AP: ‘You’re writing a very wide road for members of Congress to go to their home districts and say anything they choose about private persons and be able to do so without any liability. Are you sure you want to do that?” Collyer said, adding later, ”How far can a congressman go and still be protected?”

Story

Bill Clinton. Like his “wife” … LIAR.

Okay - I found this video on Hugh Hewitt’s page at Townhall. It goes against my grain to give this corrupt, lying, piece of shit an outlet, but this has to be seen - and heard - to be believed.

A few tips on what to listen for … the Max Cleland analogy to the democRATs Patreaus ads. So indignant. Hey Bill … Cleland is no war hero. Yes - he lost half of his body in Vietnam - but he lost it because of his own stupidity in a rear area! - not in combat! What he did, this moron, was to play with a live hand grenade, pull the pin, and drop it! Fortunately he killed nobody else with that little trick.

Move on to his again indignant segue into the Swift Boat - John Kerry story. He goes to great lengths to describe the Swift Boat veterans as people with absolutely no knowledge at all of Kerrys Vietnam service. Hey Bill? … they all served with Kerry in Vietnam, you moron! They knew him, knew how he finagled his “heroism” awards, and then di-di’d out of combat while so many other with more purple hearts than he stayed with their units and fought on like the TRUE heros they were! Nobody questioned Kerry’s patriotism, you dolt - they questioned his awards. Or lack of corroboration f0or them, specifically. But hey - that’s Bill Clinton. He wouldn’t LIE to us, would he? Of course not!

Listen, and you tell me …

The Pentagon calls it “worrisome.” I call it an outrage.

What, you ask? This little tidbit should be a clue. Exactly when is the United States going to grow some balls and flat out prohibit the sale of valuable US technology to foreign interests? We don’t secure our borders, we legitimize criminal aliens in our country illegally, the nitwits in Congress want to give away the farm to illegal aliens kids - hatched here for the sole purpose of gaining US citizenship for illegal parents. Now this.

HOMELAND INSECURITY

The joint acquisition, announced yesterday, of 3Com, the U.S. computer networking group, by Bain Capital, the U.S. private equity firm and China’s Huawei Technologies, a telecoms equipment maker, is being called “really worrisome” by a former Pentagon cybersecurity expert.

The $2.2 billion cash deal gives Bain an over 80-percent stake in 3Com and Huawei – pronounced ‘wah-way’ – just under 20 percent.

While 3Com is small compared to other Silicon Valley technology giants, its focus on sensitive communications networks raises alarms if ownership is transferred to a foreign firm.

3Com’s products include “intrusion prevention” technology that helps its customers, including the Pentagon, protect their computer networks from hackers, reported Financial Times.

As WND reported earlier this month, China has already secretly planned a cyberwar attack – codenamed “Pearl Harbor II” by the Pentagon – that calls for a simultaneous assault on the U.S. aircraft carrier fleet in the Pacific and the disabling of communications at its headquarters at Pearl Harbor and with the Pentagon, leaving America’s key allies in the Pacific – Japan and Taiwan – virtually defenseless.

Interesting find here…

SILENCE IN SYRIA, PANIC IN IRAN

Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler
Wednesday, 19 September 2007

One of India’s top ranking generals assigned to liaise with the Iranian military recently returned to New Delhi from several days in Tehran - in a state of complete amazement.

“Everyone in the government and military can only talk of one thing,” he reports. “No matter who I talked to, all they could do was ask me, over and over again, ‘Do you think the Americans will attack us?’ ‘When will the Americans attack us?’ ‘Will the Americans attack us in a joint operation with the Israelis?’ How massive will the attack be?’ on and on, endlessly. The Iranians are in a state of total panic.”

And that was before September 6. Since then, it’s panic-squared in Tehran. The mullahs are freaking out in fear. Why? Because of the silence in Syria.

On September 6, Israeli Air Force F-15 and F-16s conducted a devastating attack on targets deep inside Syria near the city of Dayraz-Zawr. Israel’s military censors have muzzled the Israeli media, enforcing an extraordinary silence about the identity of the targets. Massive speculation in the world press has followed, such as Brett Stephens’ Osirak II? in yesterday’s (9/18) Wall St. Journal.

Stephens and most everyone else have missed the real story. It is not Israel’s silence that “speaks volumes” as he claims, but Syria’s.

Why would the Syrian government be so tight-lipped about an act of war perpetrated on their soil?

The first half of the answer lies in this story that appeared in the Israeli media last month (8/13): Syria’s Antiaircraft System “Most Advanced In World”. Syria has gone on a profligate buying spree, spending vast sums on Russian systems, “considered the cutting edge in aircraft interception technology.”

Syria now “possesses the most crowded antiaircraft system in the world,” with “more than 200 antiaircraft batteries of different types,” some of which are so new that they have been installed in Syria “before being introduced into Russian operation service.”

While you’re digesting that, take a look at a map of Syria:

Notice how far away Dayr az-Zawr is from Israel. An F15/16 attack there is not a tiptoe across the border, but a deep, deep penetration of Syrian airspace. And guess what happened with the Russian super-hyper-sophisticated cutting edge antiaircraft missile batteries when that penetration took place on September 6th.

Nothing.

El blanko. Silence. The systems didn’t even light up, gave no indication whatever of any detection of enemy aircraft invading Syrian airspace, zip, zero, nada. The Israelis (with a little techie assistance from us) blinded the Russkie antiaircraft systems so completely the Syrians didn’t even know they were blinded.

Now you see why the Syrians have been scared speechless. They thought they were protected - at enormous expense - only to discover they are defenseless. As in naked.

Thus the Great Iranian Freak-Out - for this means Iran is just as nakedly defenseless as Syria. I can tell you that there are a lot of folks in the Kirya (IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv) and the Pentagon right now who are really enjoying the mullahs’ predicament. Let’s face it: scaring the terror masters in Tehran out of their wits is fun.

It’s so much fun, in fact, that an attack destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities and the Revolutionary Guard command/control centers has been delayed, so that France (under new management) can get in on the fun too.

On Sunday (9/16), Sarkozy’s foreign minister Bernard Kouchner announced that “France should prepare for the possibility of war over Iran’s nuclear program.”

All of this has caused Tehran to respond with maniacal threats. On Monday (9/17), a government website proclaim ed that “600 Shihab-3 missiles” will be fired at targets in Israel in response to an attack upon Iran by the US/Israel. This was followed by Iranian deputy air force chief Gen. Mohammad Alavi announcing today (9/19) that “we will attack their (Israeli) territory with our fighter bombers as a response to any attack.”

A sure sign of panic is to make a threat that everyone knows is a bluff. So our, and Tel Aviv’s response to Iranian bluster is a thank-you-for-sharing yawn and a laugh. Few things rattle the mullahs’ cages more than a yawn and a laugh.

Yet no matter how much fun this sport with the mullahs is, it is also deadly serious. The pressure build-up on Iran is getting enormous. Something is going to blow and soon. The hope is that the blow-up will be internal, that the regime will implode from within.

But make no mistake: an all-out full regime take-out air assault upon Iran is coming if that hope doesn’t materialize within the next 60 to 90 days. The Sept. 6 attack on Syria was the shot across Iran’s bow.

So - what was attacked near Dayr az-Zawr? It’s possible it was North Korean “nuclear material” recently shipped to Syria, i.e., stuff to make radioactively “dirty” warheads, but nothing to make a real nuke with as the Norks don’t have real nukes (see Why North Korea’s Nuke Test Is Such Good News, October 2006).

Another possibility is it was to take out a stockpile of long-range Zilzal surface-to-surface missiles recently shipped from Iran for an attack on Israel.

A third is it was a hit on the stockpile of Saddam’s chemical/bio weapons snuck out of Iraq and into Syria for safekeeping before the US nvasion of April 2003.

But the identity of the target is not the story - for the primary point of the attack was not to destroy that target. It was to shut down Syria’s Russian air defense system during the attack. Doing so made the attack an incredible success.

Syria is shamed and silent. Iran is freaking out in panic. Defenseless enemies are fun.

And the fun is just beginning, ragheads!

Why? Well - as soon as these babies are in service - the US air combat capabilities will have no peer. None. Zippo, Nada! Check out the video. Watch first for the takeoff distance to rotation. Watch next for the climb shortly after rotation. Vertical, baby! Like straight fucking up!

Checkout the high “G” turns and other demonstrations of maneuverability.

It’s over, baby. Totally. The US rules the skies. Take your Russkie shit and stuff it!

Freedom of Immigration Acts

By Tom Bethell
Published 9/28/2007 12:07:06 AM

After the immigration bill failed in the U.S. Senate, the postmortems deplored the new power of bloggers and the Internet. A done deal cooked up behind closed doors was derailed by the voice of the people. “Talk radio is running America,” complained Mississippi’s Sen. Trent Lott. The Washington Post headlined a David Broder column on the subject, “A Mob-Rule Moment.” Often called the “dean” of Washington journalists, Broder was concerned that public opinion had been “exaggerated by modern communications and interest group pressure.”

That is a fascinating topic, but of more interest right now is the issue of immigration itself. To what extent are immigrants good for America? Are illegals all that bad? Does the continued performance of the U.S. economy require a sizable inflow of newcomers? Did the defeated bill deserve to lose?

In June, all we heard about was amnesty. The proposed new law addressed a far wider range of issues — guest workers; the reallocation of green cards in favor of skills rather than family ties; increased enforcement at the border and in the workplace — but that was one of its problems. Hardly anyone knew what lurked within the bill’s 500 pages. And no one at all, inside the Beltway or beyond it, knew how all those provisions would have worked out in practice.

The last major change in the law, in 1986, which also had an amnesty provision, did not turn out as expected; nor did the one before that — the big immigration reform act of 1965. This time, talk radio and the bloggers focused on the revival of amnesty for the apparently 12 million undocumented workers in the country. There was no effective response to that and so the bill was defeated.

Never one to pass up an opportunity to pander to a group - any group - Billery comes up with this gem while addressing black college. How come there are no WHITE colleges allowed? Just asking … Also not addressed are a few pertinent questions, such as:

1. Where is the money for this - projected at $20 million per year - coming from? Taxes!

2. Does everyone get this money? As in … illegal aliens kids?

Inquiring minds want to know, asswipe.

Hillary courts (panders to?) blacks at Howard University

By Brian DeBose
September 29, 2007

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said yesterday she would favor a child investment program that provides $5,000 to help every newborn start saving to pay for college as part of her universal pre-kindergarten and education program.

“When that young person turns 18, if they have finished high school, they will be able to access it to go to college,” she said at the Congressional Black Caucus’ 37th Annual Legislative Caucus.

Mrs. Clinton said the biggest problem for black Americans is access to wealth and building wealth and that the “baby bond could be a good way to get them started on a lifetime of saving and growing wealth.”

No, Hillary - the problem for too many black Americans is that they are 3rd and 4th generation on the public dole, and have no good reason to try and better themselves of their own accord, because lefties/socialists like you want to keep them dependent on the government for their existance so you get their votes!

The NRA sells out veterans, among others. WTF, over?

Posted on September 27, 2007 | Filed Under In My Opinion...

The following quote says it all … “When the NRA and Chuck Schumer agree, that tells you it’s something worth doing,” Schumer said.

This is a fucking outrage, and the NRA has to hear from every single member - and those who are not members - that their sellout to the liberal democrats led by Scumbag Schumer and asshat Carolyn McCarthy will not go down easily.

Sen. Coburn Standing Alone In Holding Up The Veterans Disarmament Act

Gun Owners of America E-Mail Alert
8001 Forbes Place, Suite 102, Springfield, VA 22151 Phone: 703-321-8585 / FAX: 703-321-8408 http://www.gunowners.org

Thursday, September 27, 2007

The quote above explains the problem we are facing. Both sides of the gun control debate — with the exception of Gun Owners of America and many pro-gun groups at the state level — are supporting the Veterans Disarmament Act (HR 2640).

Propelled by a rare alliance between the National Rifle Association and majority Democrats,” the AP explained, “the legislation was passed in similar form by the House and would be the first major gun control law in more than a decade.” Both sides are screaming for passage of this bill!

But you should realize that Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) has been working with Gun Owners of America and, right now, is standing ALONE in the U.S. Senate to hold up this dangerous piece of legislation — which is being pushed by the Queen of Gun Control in the House (Carolyn McCarthy of New York) and the King of Gun Control in the Senate

Consider what the above news report had to say late last night:

“Majority Democrats in the Senate were poised as early as this past Monday to bring the bill to a vote until Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., objected,” the AP stated.

Sen. Coburn understands that the bill is anathema to gun rights and will result in the disarmament of (potentially) millions of additional, law-abiding Americans. “Veterans, or any other American, should not lose their Second Amendment rights,” he said, “if they have been unfairly tagged as having mental health concerns.”

Coburn gets it. He is absolutely correct in regard to his concerns with the bill. But why aren’t other pro-gun Senators standing with him?

Your help is desperately needed right now. Even if you have taken action against this bill in the past — even the recent past — we still need you to do so again. There are two important action items:

ACTION ITEM #1:

Please contact Senator Tom Coburn via his   to thank him for his defense of gun rights. He’s willing to fight the fight, but it will help him know that he has millions of gun owners standing behind him. (A pre-written letter is provided below to guide your comments to Sen. Coburn.)

ACTION ITEM #2:

Please use the second pre-written message to contact one of the other Senators who need to join Sen. Coburn in actively working to defeat the Veterans Disarmament Act — just choose the one nearest to you. The Senators who need to hear from you, and their contact info, are as follows:

Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana   Phone: 202-224-4623

Sen. Jim Bunning of Kentucky   Phone: 202-224-4343

Sen. James Inhofe Phone: 202-224-4721

Sen. Mike Crapo of Idaho   Phone: 202-224-6142

Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina   Phone: 202-224-6121

Sample letter to Sen. Coburn

Dear Senator Coburn:

Thank you so much for standing up for the rights of gun owners! You are a breath of fresh air in an institution where senators often put the interests of their fellow legislators above the interests of the American people.

Your defense of liberty is being noticed out here in the “hustings.” And we are very grateful for what you’ve done in opposing the Veterans Disarmament Act (HR 2640). Please continue to stand strong; you have our support behind you!

Sincerely,

Sample letter to Senators Vitter (R-LA), Bunning (R-KY), Inhofe (R-OK), Crapo (R-ID) or DeMint (R-SC)

Dear Senator:

I gather from press reports that Senator Tom Coburn is courageously blocking passage of the Veterans Disarmament Act (HR 2640). I know that you are a pro-gun senator, and it just seems to me that you should be standing beside him in actively opposing this bill.

The Associated Press noted the “rare alliance between the National Rifle Association and majority Democrats.” It also quotes the notoriously anti-gun Senator Schumer as saying, “When the NRA and Chuck Schumer agree, that tells you it’s something worth doing.” Well, I disagree.

While the NRA does some good work in the areas of shooting competitions, firearms training, etc., THEY DO NOT SPEAK FOR ME when they support the Veterans Disarmament Act, which is being sponsored by Carolyn McCarthy in the House (HR 2640) and is being pushed by Chuck Schumer in the Senate.

Please… please… please… stand with Senator Coburn in fighting this legislation. The bill is anathema to gun rights and will result in the disarmament of (potentially) millions of additional, law-abiding Americans.

That is why the Military Order of the Purple Heart is opposed to it, having stated on June 18 of this year, that “[f]or the first time the legislation, if enacted, would statutorily impose a lifetime gun ban on battle-scarred veterans.”

Grassroots gun owners are opposed to it, too. So please do EVERYTHING you can to kill this bill. I hope you will contact me and let me know what you intend to do.

Sincerely,

Are you kidding me? ARE YOU F’ING KIDDING ME!!

Hispanic immigrants sue U.S. city after crackdown

By Av Harris Wed Sep 26, 8:47 PM ET

DANBURY, Connecticut (Reuters) - Ten Hispanic immigrants filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against a Connecticut city, its mayor and police chief, and federal agents who led a crackdown on illegal immigration last year.

The suit filed in U.S. District Court in New Haven, Connecticut, claims the arrests violated the civil rights of nine workers and a 10th man who was stopped at a traffic light, including their right to due legal process, free speech and freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures, according to court documents.

It is the latest legal challenge to crackdowns on illegal immigrants, as localities nationwide grapple with how to handle their status.

The lawsuit claims undercover police in Danbury, Connecticut, lured the workers into a van by posing as contractors looking for day laborers.

“He offered us work and we took it,” plaintiff Juan Barrera told a news conference, referring to an undercover police officer. “We didn’t know why, but they immediately arrested us and put us in handcuffs. We didn’t know what was going on.

They treated me like a violent criminal and all I was trying to do was find work,” Barrera added. (Might be because you ARE a criminal, fucknuts! You’re in my country ILLEGALLY!)

After their 2006 arrest in a sting set up by local and federal authorities, the men were handed over to federal agents, held without charge for days or weeks, then transported to detention centers before being released on bond, court documents said.

Plan Uses Taxes to Fight Climate Change

By H. JOSEF HEBERT
The Associated Press
Wednesday, September 26, 2007; 7:34 PM

WASHINGTON — Dealing with global warming will be painful, says one of the most powerful Democrats in Congress. To back up his claim he is proposing a recipe many people won’t like _ a 50-cent gasoline tax, a carbon tax and scaling back tax breaks for some home owners.

“I’m trying to have everybody understand that this is going to cost and that it’s going to have a measure of pain that you’re not going to like,” Rep. John Dingell, who is marking his 52nd year in Congress, said Wednesday in an interview with The Associated Press.

Dingell will offer a “discussion draft” outlining his tax proposals on Thursday, the same day that President Bush holds a two-day conference to discuss voluntary efforts to combat climate change.

But Dingell, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee that will craft climate legislation, is making it clear that he believes tackling global warming will require a lot more if it is to be taken seriously.

“This is going to cause pain,” he said, adding that he wants to make certain “the pain is shared in a way that is fair, proper, acceptable and accomplishes the basic purpose” of reducing greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels.

————————————————————————————————————

At least Dingelberry has the balls to say taxes will have to be raised to pay for this non-existent problem and the hysteria those of his party raise about it. Don’t confuse these morons with the scientific fact that the temperature of the entire fucking Milky Way galaxy - of which Earth is a part - has increased. Sure it has - by a whopping 2 degrees Fahrenhight over the last millenia! That’s what happens when stars (like our SUN) age, dimwits!

Guess who THIS is about. Yup - Hillary!

Fined group tied to Hillary

By Jim McElhatton
September 27, 2007

Officials of a defunct pro-Democratic group that was hit with a near-record campaign-finance fine last month hold strong ties to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign, documents show.

At least four persons who worked for the America Coming Together (ACT) fundraising group, which the Federal Election Commission recently fined $775,000, work directly for the Clinton campaign or hold top positions with consulting firms hired by it.

In addition, the group’s former president, longtime Clinton aide Harold Ickes, has been identified as a volunteer adviser to the Clinton campaign. In FEC filings, the campaign listed a debt to Mr. Ickes of more than $2,000 for travel-related costs.

Funded with millions of dollars from billionaire George Soros, America Coming Together (ACT) misused about $70 million in “soft money,” uncapped donations that aren’t supposed to be used to urge election or defeat of a candidate, the FEC determined, saying that some of the money was spent on direct-mail and telemarketing efforts aimed against President Bush and Republicans in key battleground states in 2004.

If the Hsu fits Hillary …

Posted on September 26, 2007 | Filed Under In My Opinion...

And it keeps on coming, folks. This is no surprise to me, and shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone else with a lick of sense. I keep saying … this is the way the Clinton’s have operated since their days in Arkansas, and this is the way they operate today. In the spook world, this was called “plausible deniability”. No matter what you do - make sure nothing was on paper, nobody could tie you directly to an operation, everything was done with “cutouts”, etc. The denial had to be “plausible”, i.e., having an appearance of truth or reason; seemingly worthy of approval or acceptance; credible; believable. But then we’re talking the Clinton’s here, so it’s a different ballgame.

Remember they called John Gotti the “Teflon Don”? If that is true - what do you call a pair of scumbag politicians who can get away with virtually anything based on the fact that they are … Democrats? I have my own words for them - what are yours?

HotAir (linked) has a nice piece today on the . When you get to the final paragraph here, note that the Clinton campaign has said time and again they “knew nothing about Hsu or his past record of donations.” Yeah - and I have a bridge to sell you.

Runaround Hsu update: Big bouncing bundles of cash

It’s looking like the Hillary campaign has been wearing its for a while now.

Disgraced fund-raiser Norman Hsu did a lot more than just pump $850,000 into Hillary Clinton’s campaign bank account: He also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local, state, and federal candidates who have endorsed Clinton or whose support she courted…

Last fall, as the Nevada governor’s race was heating up, Clinton agreed to help raise money for Democrat Dina Titus, a prominent party leader in a state that holds a key early presidential caucus. Clinton arranged for Hsu, at the time a little-known New York apparel executive with no apparent reason to take interest in Nevada politics, to give Titus $5,000 on Nov. 3, according to a person with knowledge of Clinton’s fund-raising.

And in February, when former Iowa governor Tom Vilsack ended his own White House bid, he was about $450,000 in the red. A month after dropping out, Vilsack endorsed Clinton, and Clinton agreed to help him retire his debts. (Both insisted there was no quid pro quo.)

Over the next few months, some of Clinton’s biggest fund-raisers gave Vilsack checks, including Hsu, who kicked in the maximum allowable contribution, $2,300, on May 3 after attending an event organized by Clinton’s campaign, Newsweek reported this month. An associate of Hsu’s, Paul Su, chipped in $1,000 on the same day.

In other cases, Clinton helped direct Hsu’s money to influential politicians who have yet to endorse her but hail from key presidential primary states. Clinton raised at least $6,000 from Hsu and his network last year for Governor John Lynch of New Hampshire, according to Lynch aides. Lynch has no plans to endorse anyone before the state’s crucial January primary, aides said.

The story points out that there’s nothing illegal about steering donations to other candidates, but the Hillary campaign’s conduct raises legitimate questions about just how much it coordinated its activities, endorsements and so forth with moneyman Hsu. And in turn, just how much the campaign actually knew about him. As a wanted fugitive, Hsu’s name should have come up in any background checks conducted by the Secret Service. And a California businessman about Hsu’s investment schemes.

Well - it could only happen in a few places, San Francisco being one of them.

Note my previous post about the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon being shown the door by San Fran. “Traffic is the problem” it was said in denying the USMC use of the Golden Gate Bridge as a fucking background for a commercial. A background! Now comes the bunch of queers and assorted sickos who inhabit San Fran who want to hold their annual “Street Fair” the end of the month. Yah - street fair - as in close streets, tie up traffic, etc., so a bunch of queers can prance through the streets. That, on the other hand, is perfectly okay with the asshats who run Frisco. Check the rest of this story, which besides being a slap at the USMC is a slap right to the heart of Christians world wide. But … that’s okay too. That’s not a hate crime - that’s free speech!

A taxpayer-supported “gay” celebration in San Francisco, featuring a poster portraying Jesus Christ and his disciples as “half-naked homosexual sadomasochists,” has come under heavy fire from major Christian groups demanding that California lawmakers condemn it. The poster by organizers of the , sponsored in part by Miller Brewing, replaces the bread and wine representing Christ’s blood and body with sadomasochistic sex toys.

“A picture’s worth a thousand words,” said Matt Barber, policy director for cultural issues with .

Barber said his group wants California’s elected officials – including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer – to “publicly condemn this unprovoked attack against Christ and His followers.”

The annual street event, which includes displays of nudity and sexual activity – is scheduled for Sept. 30.

Responding to pressure from Christian groups, the Miller Brewing Co. is asking organizers of a “gay” street celebration in San Francisco to remove its logo from a promotional poster portraying Jesus Christ and his disciples as “half-naked homosexual sadomasochists.”

As , the poster for the Folsom Street Fair replaces the bread and wine representing Christ’s blood and body with sadomasochistic sex toys.

In a , Miller said while it has “supported the Folsom Street Fair for several years, we take exception to the poster the organizing committee developed this year.”

“We understand some individuals may find the imagery offensive and we have asked the organizers to remove our logo from the poster effective immediately,” the company said.

It’s an outrage! An outrage, I tell you!

Controversy over film shoot featuring Marines in San Francisco

marineCity officials barred members of the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon from shooting a recruiting advertisement in San Francisco, according to .

A police official tells the station that Stefanie Coyote, the head of the San Francisco Film Commission, would only give the camera crew permission to film a city street if they didn’t have any military personnel in the shot.

“This — a slap in the face of every veteran and every parent of men and women who are doing their duty — is shameful,” says police Capt. Greg Corrales, a Marine veteran who commands the city traffic bureau.

His son is on his third tour with the Marines in Iraq, the station says.

“Ms. Coyote’s politics blinded her to her duty as the director of the film commission and as a responsible citizen,” Corrales says.

After refusing to answer a reporter’s questions, KGO-TV reports Coyote later said during a public meeting that “traffic control was the issue.”

Corrales, who oversees the traffic-control officers who work with film crews, says that’s bunk.
“If they want to get the job done, they find a way to get it done,” he tells the station.

Never seen these Marines in action? Shame on you! Check’em out …

Why I am not a Republican

In a heated conversation at the Friday banquet of Phyllis Schalfly’s Eagle Council meeting in St. Louis last week, Jed Babbin, editor of , repeated accusations that I am a “black helicopter Internet conspiracy theorist” for arguing that the Bush administration is pursing the North American Union and NAFTA Superhighways through the and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP.In response, I observed that Babbin has taken Human Events in the direction of becoming an apologist for the Republican Party, not a critical forum for conservative debate.

What is difficult to understand is that many of the articles I first wrote exploring these subjects were first published last year in Human Events, under the editorial direction of Babbin’s predecessor, Robert Bluey.

Beginning in 2006, a year before Babbin was appointed editor, I began exploring the Trans-Texas Corridor and Interstate, which has been called the NAFTA Superhighway since 1998. I began looking into the Security and Prosperity Partnership President Bush declared with Mexico and Canada at the end of the trilateral summit in Waco, Texas, on March 23, 2005.

Are you paying attention, Reid, Pelosi, et all?

Israelis seized nuclear material in Syrian raid

By Uzi Mahnaimi and Sarah Baxter
Also from Sarah Baxter: | |

“Israeli commandos seized nuclear material of North Korean origin during a daring raid on a secret military site in Syria before Israel bombed it this month, according to informed sources in Washington and Jerusalem.

The attack was launched with American approval on September 6 after Washington was shown evidence the material was nuclear related, the well-placed sources say.

They confirmed that samples taken from Syria for testing had been identified as North Korean. This raised fears that Syria might have joined North Korea and Iran in seeking to acquire nuclear weapons.”

Terrorist Hiroshima in America? Only if we let them!

Terrorist Hiroshima in America?
Ryan Mauro - 9/11/2007

In 2005, the mainstream media seemed shocked when a number of news sources, including WorldNetDaily.com released a report about an “American Hiroshima” plot against the United States by Al-Qaeda The plot calls for Al-Qaeda to detonate nuclear weapons on American soil, having arrived over the Mexican border with the assistance of MS-13 gang members. The report claims Al-Qaeda has already obtained a large number of nuclear weapons currently being maintained by Pakistani and Russian scientists.

Why the shock? In November 2002, this author provided similar and nearly identical information to the American public and intelligence agencies compiled from private and open-sources. The result was a research project of an enormous size, summarily published on this site with the entire version published on WorldThreats.com. Thus, we were quite surprised when this report rocked and shocked the mainstream media over two years after we had already published the same information.

Our original report, entitled “Exposing the Next Wave of Spectacular Terrorism: Terrorist Possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction” seems antiquated as it had been tailored to the address the concerns at the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom, including the possibility of retaliatory terrorist attacks. Although there were several subsequent updates, we have re-compiled our information, now over two years old, to illustrate we sounded this alarm bell in 2002.

There is a significant amount of intelligence and open-source documentation suggesting that al-Qaeda has obtained and is in possession of nuclear weapons. There is, unfortunately, no way to know for certain the status of these weapons. Have they been destroyed? Do the terrorists lack the expertise to use them? Are the weapons simply old and useless, or are they being kept hidden somewhere for later use? These are the questions the intelligence community needs to be asking, and should have been asking over the last few years.

Soros -> MoveOn.org -> funny money?

George Soros: The Man, The Mind And The Money Behind MoveOn

By | Posted Thursday, September 20, 2007 4:20 PM PT

The Left: The smear ad published against Gen. Petraeus has drawn attention to its sponsor, MoveOn.org. But the fingerprints of the group’s chief financial backer, George Soros, were all over it. Who is this man and what is he up to?

To read Soros’ own spun story, he’s a Jewish survivor of Nazi-occupied Hungary who pulled himself up by his bootstraps, studied economics in England, became a U.S. citizen in 1961 and made a multibillion-dollar fortune as a financier who pioneered hedge funds.

Over the years, Soros has written books giving his philosophical take on global affairs and acquired a reputation as something of a “stateless statesman.” He calls himself a philanthropist and has given away $5 billion of his now $8.5 billion fortune through his principal vehicle, the Open Society Institute. The institute, in turn, has passed cash on to far more radical groups, such as MoveOn.org.

Financier George Soros, 77, with a fortune estimated at $8.5 billion, uses some of it to fund radical groups like MoveOn.org.

But Soros is no hands-off donor. According to the Open Society Institute’s Web site: “Despite the breadth of his endeavors, Soros is personally involved in planning and implementing many of the foundation network’s projects.”

Soros says he gives away about $400 million annually.

It’s an admirable picture, but “philanthropy” may be the wrong word. Unlike, say, Bill Gates, who really does put the bulk of his charity into helping the world’s poor through medical services, Soros tends to fund pressure groups and foundations he misleadingly characterizes as promoting “civil society” and “democracy.”
